COLORING OUTSIDE THE LINES is the creative exploration of Ty Hagerott

Colossians 1:16 – For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

The foundation of a creativity comes from Christ Jesus. COTL's purpose is to return artistic design to the original Creator of art. Our mission is to glorify God in our business dealings, uphold an uncomprimising standard of integrity in our art, and most importantly share the Gospel of Christ with the world.

I have a rich history of artistic talents in my family. My grandmother on my mother's side was an amazing painter, dreaming of her homeland, she painted the landscapes of Norway.

My grandfather on my father's side was an accomplished architect. He used the lines of geometry to create beautiful buildings.

As a young boy when I was at my grandfather's office, he had his drawings laying on the floor. I walked over to them and as he knelt beside me, he asked if I could color inside the lines as well as he could. My response was, "Sometimes me do, sometimes me don't." He pegged me as one who marches to the beat of a different drum that day...exclaiming that I didn't care whether I colored inside or outside of the lines.

From this story, comes COTL. We don't design to fit in. We break the rules.
